Friedman

Douglas Friedman is an acclaimed American photographer renowned for his striking and evocative images that capture the essence of luxury, architecture, and design. With a career spanning over two decades, Friedman has become a prominent figure in the world of visual arts, specializing in high-profile interior and lifestyle photography. His work often features a blend of elegance and boldness, creating compelling visual narratives that reflect both grandeur and intimacy.

Friedman’s portfolio includes collaborations with leading designers, architects, and publications, showcasing his ability to frame and highlight the beauty in various settings. His photographs are celebrated for their meticulous composition, sophisticated use of light, and a deep understanding of space and form.

In addition to his commercial success, Friedman is also known for his personal projects, which often explore themes of identity, culture, and the human condition. His work has been featured in prestigious magazines and exhibitions, earning him recognition as a key contributor to contemporary visual culture.

Friedman released a book about the designer Nicole Hollis in Winter of 2024 and has a book about the homes of Tommy Hilfiger coming the Fall of 2026. Other projects include a glassware collaboration with the heritage Austrian glass maker Lobmyer, a line of skis for Italian company Bomber Skis, and capsule swim wear collection for a luxury French menswear brand in SS25.

Peter

Based in Vancouver, Ema Peter Photography was founded in 2005 to bring Ema’s creative vision to architectural photography. Ema’s training in both the visual arts and photojournalism, with experience at the Magnum Photo Agency in Paris, created the foundations for her approach to lighting and composition.

With over 20+ years of experience and shear determination, she has photographed internationally renowned projects and received countless awards.

Ema deeply believes that a space has life and she makes it her mission to harness that character in every photograph.

Ema's images have been published in Architectural Digest, Objekt International, Dwell, Wired, The New York Times and many more.

Ema holds a Master’s degree in art and applied photography from the national academy of theatre and film arts in Sofia, Bulgaria.
She started her career as a TV anchor on Bulgarian National TV and then as an intern at Magnum Photo Agency in Paris. She then led one of the largest photography teams in North America at VRX Studios Inc. She was also the lead photographer for ad campaigns at Hilton, Hyatt and Fairmont and was responsible for creating photography standards for some of the world’s top hotel brands.

Who is this event for?: Come one, come all! This virtual event is open to any and all who are or aspire to be photographers of interiors and architecture. We welcome all genders, ages, levels of experience, and geographical locations.
What if I can't make it for the live event?: The tickets are non-refundable, but it's totally okay if you can't join us live!

You get access to all the live session recordings PLUS bonus pre-recorded sessions for 30 days after the event.

This means that you can catch up on what you missed or re-watch anything that caught your attention. It also means that time zone worries disappear!
What if I need special accommodations?: We will do everything possible to provide captioning on all recordings, but cannot guarantee caption on the live sessions. If you do need special accommodations, please reach out to us at hello@wearegrovestrong.com to see what we can do.
I'm not familiar with The Grove. What is it?: We were founded in 2019 by Natalia Robert, an architect-turned-interior photographer based out of Southern California. Natalia struggled in her path to learn this niche, and eventually felt the call to create the change herself. She has been there, done that, and had all those awkward conversations! The rest of the Grove team is made up of incredible women who have a multitude of superpowers like marketing genius, event coordination, and mad research skills. They all understand you because they are right there in that boat with you.
