Auto Masking in Lightroom

You’ve heard of the magic of masking in Photoshop, but did you know that Lightroom has its own version of masking, too?

The Auto Mask tool in Lightroom is perfect for detailed areas that need to be adjusted. Consider trees meeting the sky for a sky replacement, small areas that are a bit too blown out, or detailed finishes that need to be adjusted. In the Auto Mask Lightroom tutorial video below, we’ll go over several examples of how to use this great feature in your interior photography editing!

Bonus tip:

I forgot to add this in the video! If you click on a spot to mask and find that it’s not the right spot, you can grab the center nodule of the masking brush and move it around. As you move it, Lightroom will adjust its auto-masking to match the new spot. Give it a go!

xo,

Natalia
