The Easiest Way to Add Flames to a Fireplace

To flame or not to flame?

Anytime there’s a fireplace or firepit in the photo, it’s tempting to add some fire. But how?
For years I would find a fire photo in PNG format, bring it into Photoshop, and then use masking and transform to adjust it until it felt right. It was a little tedious, but thankfully not needed often.

Then one day I learned that there’s a tool already in Photoshop precisely for adding flames! It’s perfect for any fire fixture or even candles that need to be lit up.
In the video below, we walk through how to get to that tool and what the settings within it do.

No more searching for flames photos online! Now go put a little fire in your photos.
